Growing Up video

One of our goals in our wedding reception was to avoid boredom at all costs. Everything in the program proper must be tight and can cater to people with short attention spans (read: me). With that in mind, we created a growing up video and the story on how we got together in less than 8 minutes! Each song is no more than 3 minutes and were packed with lots of pictures to distract wandering minds.

When choosing the music, we opted for songs that triggered our childhood. It's a growing up video after all.  Jason Mraz' "The Rainbow Connection" has always been the template on which direction we wanted to go. The song is part of the CD "For the kids" which features contemporary artists singing "Meow Meow Lullabye," and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" among others.

One of the tracks was Nathan's "My Favorite Things". The song featured in the classic musical "The Sound of Music" fit perfectly to the growing up years of Liz.

Tying everything for our story is one of our favorite Disney songs "I Won't Say I'm In Love" from Hercules. This last song was only decided a few days before our wedding. We were supposed to use "Without You" by The Piano Guys but it didn't fit when you put all three together.

We stitched the songs and the pictures using iMovie and the rest was history.
